Spills, Spiders and Spiritual Revelations

Hello! Sorry that I didn't send an email out last week. It was a pretty hectic week so I never got to write in my journal so I forgot everything to write about, but this week I made sure to write every week so I can share it with you guys!

Last Monday we had P-day and after I emailed we went to an all you can eat Chinese buffet. Not nearly as good as the American buffets haha but we had a really good zone activity after that. We went to a park and played scatter ball, and basketball. It's always good to play sport every once in awhile :)

Tuesday was a real interesting day. We biked most of the day and around 3:00 I was going down a hill on my bike and back home the right handle is the back tire break but here the bikes are the opposite (I'm guessing you know what happens next) I was going down the hill and I was dumb and pushed the front brakes, and went flying over my handle bars onto the gravel road, as the bike flew on top of me. I just laid there for about 10 seconds then got up. I could see that Elder Tau was trying hard not to laugh so we walked down the hill to find a spot to sit and then we just started laughing so hard. I was in such pain but I was smiling and laughing. I've got a few scrapes, bumps, and bruises but I'm feeling good! We continued working that day walking around talking to everyone. It was a painful day. We were both limping because of my fall and Elder Tau had blisters on his feet. Even though we were in my pain we knew we had to keep going. I just thought of the pioneers who were frozen but kept going. We are modern day pioneers. We then got a call later that day from our new investigator named David. We commited him to pray to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and he called us that night and said that he hasn't received an answer, we then went to go visit him and taught him that most answers come like a sunset rather than flicking on a light. God is answerING. The "ING" is really important to notice.

Wednsday we had a lesson with Andrew Shore, one of our investigators and we brough Sister Toker with us. Andrew showed us this peice of glass he has that when you put a flame behind it, it shows a cross...weird. But the lesson went well and we commited him to continue to read the Book of Mormon. he believes that Christ was crucified but doesn't believe that Christ died for our sins. So we're going to try to resolve that concern this week. Sister Whitrod, one of the mothers on my mission, baked me some get well cinammon rolls that day too. She's the greatest, I LOVE THAT FAMILY.

I forgot to write for Thursday and Friday...oops.

Satuirday we started the day by doing some weeding for the Watts. Man, I love weeding! There is just something about pulling weeds that is therputic. Sister Watts then made us tomatio and cheese sandwiches which were delicious. We then had a lesson with David about the Book of Mormon. He has a lot of skepticism at the moment but I told him it's normal, understanding will come over time. But we taught and testified powerfully about the Book of Mormon and he has read to 1 Nephi: 8 so far! It's so exciting to see someone read such a wonderful book! Oh and also when I was weeding for the Watts we were taking a break and eating some biscuits and I was sitting on a bench and when I stood up, Brother watts says "Oh man, look at that" pointing to the bench where I was sitting. TYhere was red back spider right under my legs. And if you don't know red back spiders are very poisinous and can kill if not treated quickly. YIKES.

Sunday was great. After sacrament I gave one of the members in my ward, Borther Auseanga a blessing. he has a chest infection. Me and Elder Tau then taught Elders Quorom.

It was a good week! I've gained a testimony of asking questions to God this week. We as children of God are truly entitled to revelation. God cares about us and wants to help us so feel free to ask him anything! What's important to you is important to him!
