Hey everyone! Its been a great week here in the ZAAM,
hope everyone is doing good and enjoying this Christmas Season!
This week has been busy busy busy but pretty laid back at the same time.
We spent the first half of last week in the flat.
Elder Tanner unfortunately had a bad mango sap rash all over his body
so we were told by the doctor to stay out of the heat and to not sweat
so we stayed in the flat. We tried to keep ourselves busy by studying,
watching church movies and such, but really we both got little stir crazy
from being inside. We wanted to go out and work so bad! But circumstances
wouldn't allow us. But by the time Friday came we were out the door and up to Darwin!
We took a 3 hour drive with the Zone Leaders there to attend
President and Sister Carters Christmas Party. It was at the Hilton Hotel and it was so great.
We had seafood, steak, and alcoholic berries! We all were served cake
with berries inside of a little glass, none of us knew at first that they were
berries soaked in alchohol but then Sister Carter said, "Don't eat those berries!"
Most of us were already done with them including me so President Carter was just like,
"Your forgiven!" hahaha We then we're able to watch the
First Presidency Christmas Devotional and then we headed home.
So we will be in Darwin till Wednsday. Nothing much has happened after that
but we are all really feeling the Christmas Spirit here and I hoper you all are too!
Love,
Elder Acker
P.S.
Oh my goodness mom, thank you so much for that amazing Christmas tree!
I couldn't ask for a better gift :) We put it in our bedroom and
we plan to open our packages under it Christmas morning.
So yes I have received the humongo package but wont
open it till Christmas. Thank you!
